Chevening Scholarship: Eligibility, Guidelines and Application

The Chevening Scholarship is one of the prestigious, full funded  government scholarships for masters programs. It's enables foreign students to study at universities in the United Kingdom. There are various courses available for masters programs at different universities. 

Eligibility:     Chevening scholarships are available for most of the countries students. You can check here whether your country is on the list or not. Click here to check. 

Academic Requirements:    You have to hold an undergraduate degree with a minimum upper second class that qualifies you for a UK master’s program. 

Language Skills:     Chevening does not require you to submit an English language score, but it is necessary for a candidate to have strong communication skills as part of their application. Some former Chevening Scholars recommended an IELTS score of 7.5 or above.

Work Experience:    For a Chevening Scholarship, work experience is one of the most important requirements for a candidate. You need at least two years or equivalent to 2,800 hours of work experience. The following work experience or activities also count as your work experience.

  3. Voluntary work
  4. Paid or unpaid internships
